Microsoft Project Training

Critical Tools offers beginning and advanced training classes on all recent versions of Microsoft Project (Project 98, Project 2000, Project 2002, Project 2003 and Project 2007).

Our standard 1 and 2 day training courses cover all aspects of Microsoft Project. They are designed for new and intermediate users and discusses how to manage projects using the Microsoft Project software, from initial project setup through planning, tracking and reporting. These are hands-on classes.

All of our instructors are Microsoft Project Certified and each has over 13 years experience teaching Microsoft Project.

Training classes are conducted at your facility (we do not offer public courses at this time). The on-site classes are generally most cost effective when 5 or more people need training in Microsoft Project. Pricing is a flat rate plus travel expenses.

We offer both 1 and 2 day Microsoft Project classes.

1 Day Microsoft Project Training Class

Our 1 Day Microsoft Project Training Class is a fast-paced class designed to cover all the key features of Microsoft Project so you can get up and running quickly. Upon completion of this class students are able to plan projects, assign resources, update projects, print reports and more.

2 Day Microsoft Project Training Class

Our 2 Day Microsoft Project Class covers the same basic subjects as the 1 day class plus a few additional topics. The 2 Day class also incorporates several class exercises. With the addition of class exercises, students gain additional hands-on knowledge of the software. We have designed these exercises with real-world planning examples so that each student gains a complete understanding of how to plan and manage projects using a variety of techniques.

Why a 1 Day Class vs. a 2 Day Class?

Our 1 Day Microsoft Project training is a hands-on, fast-paced class that covers a lot of topics in a short period of time. The students follow along on their computers as the instructor demonstrates and discusses the features of Microsoft Project. If your organization has limited time for training and wants to learn the key features of Microsoft Project than this class is perfect.

Our 2 Day Microsoft Project training is also a hands-on class but with the extra time, topics can be discussed in greater detail. In addition, various class exercises are performed with students developing and managing projects on their own. These class exercises reinforce the topics taught for a better understanding of Microsoft Project. If your organization has time for a 2 day class and wants a more thorough understanding of the Microsoft Project software, this class is a good fit.

Advanced Microsoft Project Training and Consulting

Advanced Microsoft Project classes are also available and are customizable to meet your high-end needs. We can customize an advanced training class to cover just the topics you want.

We also offer consulting in the use and implementation of Microsoft Project. If you need personalized assistance in how to setup, use or customize Microsoft Project in your organization, we can help. Consulting differs from training in that we meet with you individually or in small groups to discuss the best way for you to use Microsoft Project.
